Team Grey Annual Dinner 2019

📍 Quill city mall ballroom 3

I remember this was the first time I went on stage to emcee an event. I was 21, and I was forced to do it as part of my Internship for my company's annual dinner . I was afraid, I stumbled over my words, and the butterflies were running amok in my stomach. However, it was definitely an experience to remember, and I have since used that and other good/bad experiences to improve my stage presence.

When I have fun as an emcee, it is really such a magical experience that I can’t wait to get back on stage. However, emceeing does carry its risks of failure. If you do not prepare well, you run the risk of failure and it can be a really painful experience.

Team Grey Group Staff

We are a people focused company.  We always want to see our people grow and provide the much needed support. We also encourage creativity, innovation and thinking out of the box by making sure every voice is heard. We draw on our core values - Teamwork, Accountability, Respect, to provide meaningful careers in the event industry.

Being EMCEE of the event

An emcee is the host and facilitator of the event. The event can be a wedding, a party, a seminar, a conference etc. As long as you are holding the microphone on stage, you are the emcee.

The role of an emcee is to warm up the crowd to prepare them for the program ahead. The emcee sets the tone. You are there to make the main stars of the show look good. You are also there to make sure there are smooth transitions between different segments of the program so that it flows smoothly. Should there be any hiccup, the emcee will have to ensure minimal disruptions to the program.

Riway Ultimate Leaders Recognition Night 2018
📍 Singapore National Stadium

Part-Time Work Experience

“Ultimate Leaders Recognition Night” 2018 drew the most exciting ending to RIWAY’s 10th Anniversary. The joy, emotions, honour and amazement we felt on the day, have become the most memorable day of my life.

After this event, my field of vision has become wider ang got more experience in the event industry. This internship has built my resume experience and the interview talking points. In today’s job market, entry-level no longer means you don’t need to have experience. In fact, if we want a chance at standing out from the crowd, we absolutely need to have an internship or two under your belt. Having internships experience on our resume will help better qualify us for a position, catch a hiring manager’s eye and give us substantial things to talk about during our interview.

The asia hrd congress 2017

📍 Le Meridien, Putrajaya

As an Event Coordinator in this event, the Asia HRD Congress™ Masterclass Workshops & International Conference, 2017, in my opinion, it had been well planned and designed as we could see from the way of the organizer managed every single part of the event could be considered as flawless. From the organization I had learnt a very good strategy in running the event and the manpower allocation was well managed too.

As an Event Coordinator for the Asia HRD Awards Gala Dinner, 2017. Their target delegates are mainly the Human Resources practitioners, Human Resources Professionals and potential business customers over the world. A total of 12 speakers have been invited to share ideas, experiences and best practices with the delegates during the conference. Some of the speakers were from overseas such as USA, Singapore, India. They are usually a well-known author, entrepreneur or business practitioners in the world.
